Gel Manicure

A gel manicure is a popular nail treatment that offers a durable, glossy finish lasting up to two to three weeks. Unlike traditional nail polish, gel polish requires curing under a UV or LED light, which hardens the gel and prevents chipping or peeling. With over 150 colours, Mimi’s definitely has the perfect colour choice for any occasion.
HEMA Free Manicure

At Mimi’s we focus on natural nail health and offer a wide range of HEMA-free gel polish colours which is a specialised nail product formulated without hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA), a common ingredient in traditional gel polishes known to cause allergic reactions and skin sensitivities in some individuals. By eliminating HEMA, these polishes offer a safer alternative, reducing the risk of irritation and reaction while maintaining the durability and beautiful glossy finish. They are particularly beneficial for those with sensitive skin or allergies to HEMA.

Initially, she explored makeup artistry, achieving a Bachelor Honours degree, and continuing as a MUA for bridal, commercial and TV. Her love for making others feel good ignited her passion to focus on another career in the beauty industry. This led here to pursue professional training in London, where Kristie honed her skills and deepened her admiration for perfect manicures and beautiful nail art. Now, with over 4.5 years in the industry, Kristie specialises in promoting natural nail health. She takes pride in helping clients transform their nails—from starting with none to maintaining healthy, strong, long-lasting nails. Each set she create is a blend of artistry and care.

We offer a full range of manicure and pedicure treatments, including Gel Polish, Builder Gel, HEMA-Free Gels, French finishes, and custom nail art. Whether you're after something natural or a high-gloss statement look, we’ve got you covered.
How long does a treatment take?
Treatments typically last between 60 and 120 minutes. Builder Gel and nail art may take slightly longer, depending on your nail health and inspiration. Please always send us inspiration photos prior to your appointment so we can allocate enough time.
Do you use professional-grade products?
Yes, we use premium, salon-grade products that are gentle on your nails and designed for long-lasting results. All tools are sterilised between appointments to ensure the highest standard of hygiene and care.
Is BIAB/ Builder Gel available?
Absolutely! Builder Gel manicures is our most popular treatment and great for building strength and supporting natural nail growth. It’s perfect if you want a clean, durable finish without damaging your nails.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Please arrive with bare nails if possible unless coming for an infill. We do not remove others work unless its with a technician her at Mimi’s. This is because we do not know what products they have used and what extent your nail health will be like. Please oil your cuticles as much as possible and do not pick off your gels. This can cause severe damage.
Do you offer treatments for damaged nails?
Yes. We offer targeted treatments that support nail recovery and strength, including nourishing base coats, Builder Gel/Hard Gel overlays, and aftercare advice to help restore your nail health long-term.
